Hentges, Harriet - from United States

Harriet Hentges is executive vice president of the United States Institute of Peace, where she oversees the Institute’s interprogram initiative on nongovernmental organizations. She has over fifteen years of senior management experience in key positions in business, government, and nonprofit organizations. Prior to coming to the Institute, Hentges was chief operating officer and managing partner at the Clifton Investment Group. From 1986 to 1988, she was chief operating officer at the Baskin Financial Corporation. She also served as the executive director of the League of Women Voters of the United States for five years, and as an international economist on the policy planning staff at the U.S. Department of State. Hentges received a Ph.D. in international economics from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies.
