Government official who is currently the United States Ambassador to India. He previously served as the Deputy Assistant to the President for International Economic Affairs and Deputy Director of the National Economic Council in the United States Government from January 2017 to June 2017.
Juster's career has spanned almost 40 years in government, law, business, finance, and international affairs. In the private sector, he has been a partner at the global investment firm Warburg Pincus, a senior executive at the software company Salesforce.com, and a senior partner at the law firm Arnold & Porter. In the U.S. Government, he has previously served as Under Secretary of Commerce, as the Counselor (Acting) of the State Department, and as the Deputy and Senior Advisor to Deputy Secretary of State Lawrence S. Eagleburger. Juster has also served as the Chairman of the Advisory Committee of Harvard's Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, the Chairman of Freedom House, the Vice Chairman of the Asia Foundation, and a member of the Trilateral Commission. He is currently a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the American Academy of Diplomacy.
