He was Vice President of Åhlén & Holm 1931–1939 and CEO of the same company in 1939–1969 and in Tempo AB 1933–1969 which he initiated. After his retirement, he continued to participate as a board member in the companies' continued development.
Together with his brother Ragnar, he founded the Aktiejänst Foundation in 1958 for the promotion of share savings in Sweden. The foundation started three share savings funds under the name Koncentra. Equity service and Koncentrafonderen were Sweden's first equity fund managers and equity funds.
