Beaumont, George Anson Oliver - from United States
Country of meeting: in the year 1834
He was a nephew of Asahel Clarke (Yale 1797), and first cousin of the Rev. William B. Clarke (Yale 1849). His father died in his infancy. He spent the two years succeeding graduation in the Yale Law School, and in 1836 removed with his mother to Chicago, where he established himself in practice. He was highly successful, but in the spring of 1845 was obliged by illness to return to Columbia, where he died on December 18, in his 34th year.
