Admitted to bar July 3, 1869, was in law office of Taylor & Andrews in New York City a few months but in January, 1870, obliged to resign on account of ill health, taught in Poughkeepsie Military Institute during spring and summer of 1870 and in W. C. Wilcox's private school in Stamford, Conn., 1870-72. Afterwards had a fruit farm in Southwick, Mass., for over twenty years.
Born February 6,1839, in Putney, Vt. Died January 15, 1926, in Springfield, Mass.
