Was a Japanese businessman in the Shōwa period, president of Kansai Electric Power Company. At the end of July 2014 it became known that 1972 to 1990 bribes were paid by KEPCO to Japanese top politicians. Chimori Naito, former vice president of the company, explained this in an interview as follows: "According to 91-year-old Naito, seven different prime ministers received annual payments of 20 million yen (about 145,000 euros) from former Kepco president Yoshishige Ashihara. (...) In addition, other politicians were delighted with such payments. Kepco had spent several hundreds of millions of yen per year for these purposes".
